Well, I do this every year and every year I fail miserably. So why change now...
Prediction by division:
Melville Battlefords Melfort Yorkton Kindersley Flin Flon Estevan Humboldt La Ronge Weyburn Notre Dame Nipawin
Overall
Melville - another storng year but this time not as underdog Melfort - had a hard time not placing them 1st Flin Flon - tons of skill, will it mesh together Battlefords - different look team but will be tough to play against Yorkton - depends solely on how the retuning players step up to replace the large holes Kindersley - could challenge BAT for this division Estevan - only 3 20's on the team make it difficult to get any higher Humboldt - can't believe I have them this low. Just a hunch is all LaRonge - I have a feeling this is the start of an upward climb for this team Notre Dame - tough team to play. Sleeper in my mind Weyburn - in for a tough year again I think Nipawin - physical team but my be in tough this year

Yorkton Melville Estevan Weyburn
Flin Flon Melfort Laronge Nipawin
Battlefords Kindersley Notredame Humboldt
Yorkton looks tough again this year.. MacCauley makes them early favorites.
Melville looks to be competitive, goaltending could be the question..
Estevan will be a lot younger but have good returnees and recruits.
Weyburn. Lost starting goalie to the WHL and some key players.
Flin Flon: Deep at every position.. They could challenge Yorkton for top position.
Melfort: lots of players returning and some great recruits.
Laronge: has to be better than last season. Blaquiere brothers will really help them.
Nipawin: lost Kozun which is a huge loss.. Who did they bring in??
Battlefords: with a team that lost lots of players, they've been able to replace these players. Possibly a few rookie of the year candidates.
Kindersley has a very balanced team. Adding Laclare and Kehoe is huge.
Notredame will probably suprise a lot of people. Could be a dark horse.
humboldt: lost dean brockman, lost Pashovitz and new coach means new systems, and it might take players a while to adjust.

Predicting in junior A is very difficult as so much depends on how a coach can bring a group of young guys together and believe. I just hope for parity and lots of competitive games. Yorkton winning the SJHL, Westerns and the RBC Cup last year is great for this league. I get tired of hearing how great the BCHL or AJHL are and my sources tell me that a couple of BC teams are being run in a very amateurish way this year. Maybe that is why we're seeing some good BC kids on SJ rosters - Saskatchewan really is hockey country. Please go out and support your local team and keep this great league healthy and strong!

I really don't know...I just don't know. I think the Terriers are well coached, have experience players and are the champs till someone knocks them out of the playoffs or they don't make the playoffs. the rest, I have no idea, I am interested to see how the Broncos do without Brockman, that will be interesting, the bombers, well...as someone said they are deep, and god knows they gotta be hungry for a league title. Bombers are on a 22 year drought here. Play the schedule, there are always under achievers and over achievers, late pushes by the unexpected, "highly touted" teams tanking...maybe a firing here and there, key players quitting, getting traded, injuries etc etc. gotta play the schedule. Interesting year. L4D

What a surprise Stars 123 has battlefords finishing 1st in the division with a team full of rookies....then again they are "highly touted" unlike other rookies....

A team full of rookies?? 16 players with junior A experience... 6 defencemen with at least a year of Junior A experience. Our starting goalie has played in the WHL for 2 years, a cup of coffee in the QMJHL, and the BCHL for one.. Yes there are rookies.. but a team full of rookies.. I wouldnt call it that.

throw my predictions in to see how I end up at the end of the year.
Melville Yorkton Estevan Weyburn
Flin Flon Melfort Nipawin LaRonge
Batllefords Kindersley Humboldt Notredame
I think it will be another season of games where teams need to fight for every point. The teams are very equally matched and will be a very entertaining year.

With the addition of Logan Harland to flin flon, I would call them early favorites....

He is that good?

He's very good,. Had 10 goals with the blades. Not only him tho, the whole team has lots of depth. From goal to defence to offence.. But as we've seen in years past, a very talented team on paper doesn't always win.. All teams have to gel to be successful.

That's right Stars123, cant get toooo excited about the Bombers till they win about 40 games and win the division and go to play for the league title....but....fun to speculate. L4D
