Maybe I've only seen him at his worst, but after last night I really had to wonder if Rockie Zinger is always this pissed off? I've seen almost every coach have their moments, but it seems non-stop with Rockie. Flipping out about offsides, icings, who touched the puck before it went over the glass, what should have been a penalty, what shouldn't have been a penalty. Not just expressing his opinion briefly but ensuring anyone wearing black and white stripes is thoroughly lambasted any time they are within earshot. Frankly I'm surprised the officials tolerate it. His gross over-reactions to perceived injustices really seems detrimental to his coaching. Most coaches are offering the players feedback throughout the game, while plays are still fresh in their minds. If Rockie isn't ranting he appears to be pouting.
It makes for good entertainment, not that the game last night really needed anything extra. But seeing a coach crossing the ice after the period while giving a fan the death stare for heckling him isn't something you see often. Is he like this everywhere? Or more particularly, does he do this on home ice as well?

eventually it will catch up to him and hurt the team. when he will need a call he won't get it and more often than not a call will be made against his team. if the fans know they can get under his skin it will be entertaining especially in certain visiting arenas.

A clear case of little man syndrome. Does he think the greased back hair/scruffy beard/midget biker look makes him a tough guy?

Death stare......ouch....I wonder if his players are distracted by his behavior. L4D

Apparently not, they lead the league - remember! Last year at this time this forum was overrun with chat about his soon firing. I guess theire board had more faith in the "little man" than his competition's fans.

he is over the top. I cant imagine how the players cope with that game after game. it must wear on them, that kind of coaching gets immediate results initially but over time gets nothing.

The man in question was in our town lately and I didn't see that side of him. Everyone has their days. My first impression of this guy is totally different than everyone is spewing about. Hoever I do agree he could choose a better DOO.

its the hockey coach look...loosely based on the style of Pat Burns....just most SJ coaches cant afford the $2K suits and $200 ties and $500 shoes. The hair doo you can do yourself!!! You gotta go to the BCHL for that kinda Jr A dress code. L4D
