Don't know but Carter Berg showed up on the Hawks roster in Nov by mistake and it caused some great conversation / rumors. Ironically he did come to the team in Jan at the deadline. Maybe this is foreshadowing!!!!

Futures deal according to twitter.
Estevan already starting the sale to build for 2016? Maybe they are Oleksyn's next stop?

build around oleksyn, are you kidding me. many other players on that line up I would select over him.

If you think I'm suggesting that it would be a good trade or Oleksyn is a player to build a team around, then you're mistaken. It is a tongue in cheek comment about a player who hasn't been anywhere long enough to unpack his bags lately. But I would say that it does look like the Bruins have given up on this season and are now playing for 2016.

Something seems odd to me. If they are building for next year why would they trade a 19 year old. Who is also there leading the team in scoring. Just an opinion. Think the trade has nothing to do with next year.

building a contender in one might seem like a tall order, but these days, the league is rigged to be able to accomplish this. There is a lot of preseason movement as mentioned before there is big pressure on the SJ from other leagues...they want SJHL type players all over North America. Its true, USHL, BCHL etc. You cant always count on players returning, you cant always count on players reporting, you cant count on players staying. More of an even playing surface at the start of the season. Just an observation, but Estevan is deserving, central location, great long time SJ franchise....as a SJ fan I hoe they an pull it all together and do the league proud. L4D

Since Deroose joined the klippers they are 0-2... I did find it funny how the Bruins had their highest offensive output of the season after Deroose was traded to the Klippers

I can't see why Estevan would want to get rid of him. I would suspect he wanted to get away from a team that was struggling to win. Anyone heard if he asked for the trade, especially since Est has recieved nothing in return - yet, Can't be a Bruins move for success.

He didn't ask for the trade and there will be a major return next year. There are some other factors which shouldn't be discussed here.

Looks like Cody Young or Braden Oleksyn is making a run with Estevan next year by that comment!

Oleksyn may not make it to next year, if he keeps admiring passes in the middle of the ice. He got totally rocked in La Ronge on Tuesday and I just noticed that he wasn't in the lineup against Flin Flon the next evening.

my guess is that Deroose will be going back to Estevan next year, along with either oleksyn or leclaire. it is all or nothing for Rocky this year, see what happens.

#25 from the klipper also took a very hard hit on Wednesday nite, didn't finish the game, he didn't see the 6'2" 210 lbs dman cause his head was down. It happens.....mostly in the north.... L4D

Oleskyn sat out Friday in Nipawin too but 25 - Macpeherson was back. Hawks outplayed and out shot KK but goaltending made the difference. Not blaming Flodell for all of it but 3 were his and 2 was the difference. KK also got a EN while Flodell went of for a KK penalty. Hawks pass to the point missed the Dman and went down to the post and in, barely, but that ended the steam in the engine. Hargrave stole the show, 3 that almost everyone would consider sure goals were stolen in the nic of time., a few missed open nets , But the Klippers won. Hawks had the better team but KK had the better goalie that night.
