I've heard the league bis talking about the possibility of allowing 21 year olds to play... why would they do that, the sjhl is not jr.b.

that would be a step backwards, if anything they should reduce the number of 20 year olds. it is supposed to be a developmental league. some younger players need that opportunity and playing time to develop. if you play a game past your 21st birthday you lose a year of eligibility from a potential scholarship. makes no sense and can't see that happening.

I thought that the SJHL was in the process of reducing the amount of 20 year olds each team can have. It wouldn't make sense to have 21 year olds play.

I think the CJHL as a whole should make that call. That way you don't have discrepancies between rosters at the RBC Cup. Seems only fair.

Probably some misinformation. They wouldn't make that move unless it was happening throughout the CJHL.
The league was supposed to go down to a maximum of seven 20 year olds in 2013-14, but it never happened. After all the news they put out in 2012 regarding the 2 year reduction plan you'd think they would have come out and publically said they changed their mind after the first year rather than leave us thinking some teams were cheating this season.
