i know im prolly gonna be labelled a Communist even stating this. but maybe players should be required to write the american sat's if they still have college eligibility. i mean take the choice out of the players hands, dont underestimate human laziness we all assume that of course players will write the exam. sometimes people need a little push or to have their hand held and then its up to them to take advantage. wouldnt that be a great selling point for scouts and 1 less worry. to know every player is eligible. doesnt mean you have to go south but the choice is there....thoughts?

My opinion. If they are too lazy to take the initiative to write SAT's on their own, then they probably aren't what colleges are looking for in the first place. If I was a scout for a college, the last person I would want to recruit is one that needs to be babysitted.

That said, making it "strongly suggested", and perhaps with a league-wide focus, would show NCAA that certain players are serious. Lots of boys take the SAT several times, to help improve their scores. That shows initiative too!

In My opinion, Success is a subjective term and to judge the "success" of the league based on NCAA scholarships alone is very unfair. Basing the success of the league by total post secondary commitments or by how many RBC's the SJHL participates in would be a better metric. Do we know what percentage of the players in Junior Hockey care about getting NCAA rides or are even eligible due to Major Junior play?

true that players like any other person can just be too lazy to write the sat's but its not always because of laziness. sometimes most people need a little nudge or push to send them off and then they are on their way. life is about opportunity and there is only so many windows that all people have most (all?) people have been given a helping hand at one point the key is to take advantage of these limited windows. And to be clear i don't see this ever happening in reality ....seems very cold war Soviet Union style government lol
