A lot of moves being made in the WHL. Do they have the same number of cards to use as the SJHL because not much happening here other than dub drop downs. Or is it because everyone thinks they have a chance and don't want to be seller.

Maybe Doug Johnson can pull another blockbuster at the deadline like a couple years ago. Carter Berg for David Heath, Teal Sobkowicz and Dexter Bricker (who's been reassigned by Lethbridge). Wasn't a fan of Holcomb, but man did he bend Johson over on that trade.

Fiesel is busy. Trombley to Bonnyville for 19 year old defenseman Zvonkovic and futures. Berreth to Winnipeg for futures. Picked up 18 year old forward Keegan Milligan from Cowichan. Logan Karakochuk has been brought up from AAA for the rest of the year and Miles Manson has been sent home. I'm guessing there is a lot more to come.

Looks like Feisel is selling, exactly what I think needs to happen. I guarantee he's not done. After a few changes maybe this team could surprise us a little.

thegreat1 - that trade was a good trade at the time, when you think you have a chance you go for it. Heath would look good in a Nipawin jersey for sure but his time here in Nipawin he was young and needed a lot of time to develop. Sobkowicz is mediocre at best, we have depth up front and he wouldn't make us any better. And Bricker that little knob won't do anything for MElfort in the long run, I watched him in the WHL this year and he does nothing but take dumb penalties and put teams in bad situations, I'm glad we got rid of the little cancer. And talking about getting bent over it sounds like you'd let the whole Stangs team bend you over.

Oy, hawkeyplayer! You'd probably best reconsider your message while you have the opportunity, being that the admin is away right now. That's probably banning material, or at least a time out.
BTW, stars123 wasn't the one who posted the comments that got you riled up.

Hawkeyplayer - classy bud. First of all teal is 18 on the deepest team in the league. Of course he's gonna play 3-4th line. He comes with a winning pedigree from the mintos which you can't forget. You'll see when he's 20. He'll easily be top 6 on any team. Melforts depth up front and mobility on the back end is why they are at the top and the hawks arent. That and reffing I guess!!!!
Honestly Heath was better at 19 than Berg at 20. If you can't see that you were drunk and evey game last year. He'd be top pair dman on any team in the league.
In regards to bricker, he brings an edge. He's not there to snipe goals, 44 pims in 38 or 39 whl games as a 3rd 4th liner isn't terrible? Is it? Maybe it was your kid he speared in the face last year and got 5 games?.... I can see why you wouldn't like him, but if he's got his head on straight he'll be effective and certainly adds more depth. I guess if all he does is take bad penalties and put his team in bad situations, he'd fit in with your coach? Maybe Johnson will trade us coeben for him hahah!
I'd be surprised if Melfort doesn't make a big splash, another goalie to go with Palmer and a top line winger.

To be honest, I could care less if I got banned from the forum. To sit here and let my team and coach get $h!t on by a dumb @$$hole like thegreat1 , pisses me off. I'm done reading the trash that he puts up on this site. My account will be deactivated after this post anyway. Good luck to all teams other than the Mustangs, it has been a good year so far and I am hopeful that Nipawin & Melfort meet in the post season. We will see who is getting "bent over" after the 7 game series.

It doesn't sound like Fiesel has much more planned, which is slightly disappointing. I was hoping to see another deal or two.

Hawkeyplayer. Don't pout, I said he made a bad trade and defended a few mustangs. I think your pissed off becauseI'm right and hearing the truth hurts. Time to hit the grow up button on your keyboard if you haven't deactivated your account.

stars look like a player or two move may add consistency to a team that could have a good run, as long as goalies keep playing well

What's the low down on the Veroba-Baer trade? I was under the impression Veroba is solid. On the surface it looks like a lateral move at a higher cost to Kindersley. But I also see Veroba has missed a few games.
Is this just a matter of Zinger looking to add some playoff experience to the group?

It must be, because to me this is a clear-cut win for the Terriers. BTW, the Mils are still working on something but are pretty much outta cards. Should be interesting.

Predinchuk returning? No longer with the Winterhawks and "left to pursue hockey interests closer to home". Gotta be either the Mils or CIS I would imagine.

Keller traded to mjhl.. ken Pearson picked up Keller in Winkler. Future considerations. A player for next year is what I'm told.

Mitch Lipon reassigned from Spokane Chiefs to melville millionaires per the WHL site trade recap One of the WHL list players I didn't know about. Fiesel said he had 20. I knew of Predinchuk, Shields, Brooks, Fafard, Neuls, Cole, Cable, Bear. Too bad fans aren't able to see more of the lists. Keller traded to mjhl.. Not sure the details yet.. Winkler for futures. bennywalchuk.blogspot.ca/

So Veroba to Flin Flon for futures now.
Predinchuk's return is confirmed. Fiesel actually managed to get younger and better at the deadline. With Predinchuk, Milligan and Lipon we should see a goal per game boost.
The SJHL site also reports that Zach Fowles is coming back to the Mils from Okotoks, which I find questionable at this point. No mention of this from Benny, the AJHL site or twitter. We picked him up near the deadline last season and he saw limited action, and from what I can tell his rights went back to Okotoks after the season was finished. He's been playing Junior B this season, and unless Fiesel just wants 8 defensemen so he has a spare body I'm not sure this makes sense otherwise. The addition would also put them at 24 players if my count is right.

I don't know that I've seen an in-season rebuild of this magnitude and look forward to seeing what happens with the Millionaires. They're already a totally different team with Martin in goal -- in my estimation they play with more confidence when he's in net -- and with some added offense from Predinchuk, Lipon and Milligan this team might find itself back in the discussion with the top teams. According to what I've heard, Zvincovic is no slouch offensively either. If not, they've certainly got a bright future with some new, younger players.

bombers also got rights to cody pettapiece, is he going to play. also surprised that nipawin did not make any moves, they could have got in on the action for some needed players. maybe satisfied and don't want to give up too much for next year, still a young team.

Happy to see the Terriers start to rebuild for next year. It's been a tough year of changes for the Terriers, but I'm sure it was also tough to find value in the trade market based upon their teams performance. I see a another big change over this summer as their 19 year olds just don't seem to be developing like they should. They will definitely have more scouting time this summer.

This much shuffling could drastically change the standings by March. Should be interesting. I count at least 3 PJHL guys moving up, leaving winning teams for less of a chance for a chanpionship. So was Pettapiece not happy in weyburn? Think there was any money involved in any of these 3 moves?

So was Pettapiece not happy in weyburn? Think there was any money involved in any of these 3 moves? In Nov. my son left a Jr. B program that is hosting the provincials and loading up for a long play-off run to join a struggling JR. A franchise. He has zero regrets. I think if you are an 18/19 yr.old and get a chance to move up you do it. Having said that if you are 20yr with a chance to win a championship with a JR, B team rather than being a bit player on a struggling JR. A team for a couple of months, I think that does change things.
