They are very surprised about all the penalties the Broncos are taking Vs Bombers penalties. Humboldt took 500 more pims in regular season Humboldt 1st in PIMS Flin Flon 11th in PIMS. Makes sense. They probably figure with their cheap shot artist riding pine they don't deserve any penalties at all. |

Bad enough listening to the colour guy and Rory tonight try to make it sound like FF deserved a penalty every single time a Bronco fell down. The best one was Rory saying “and he’s hauled down in front of the net!” as the Bronco player never hit the ice at all. The garbage on the ice was a new low though. Congrats to the Bombers on a well deserved spot in the finals, should be a great series. |

The garbage on the ice is a horrible look for Humboldt but I will say this is the first time I’ve seen this happen there and have always been treated well there. Pretty disrespectful to their own players if you ask me and I’m sure most Humboldt fans were just as disgusted. Rory on the other hand has always been a homer and probably one of the worst in the business if you ask me. Makes himself sound even worse when you can watch live what’s coming out of his mouth. Haha. |

It’s fine to be a little biased for your team but when alll you do is whine about the officiating you are adding nothing to the broadcast. I have been a Humboldt supporter for years but I can’t listen to this any more. I am done, between whining about the referees and listening to how Scott Barney is the greatest coach in the SJ it gets pretty ridiculous. What has Barney won in this league?

I was at the game so I did not listen to the commentary and can not comment on that. I did see a Bronco team give it there all and could not find away to get the win to force another game.
As for the trash on the ice...some dork did it yes and I am sure that will be his last game at the epa. For 7 guys on that Team it was there last junior game. Prior to shaking hands and taking in their last moment as a junior hockey player, as a bronco...they cleaned up that trash. That is character, that is class!!
What I also liked, in true sportsmanship of the game was the flin flon players following up the traditional handshake line to shake hands with the bronco scratches/injured players at the bench.
Good luck to the bombers and stars. Will be a great series.
Oh, and I don't recall the Broncos winnig a game when 38 reff is assigned to the game. Haha. He has potential to be really good as he sees and knows the game, he just gets way to involved or something. Not sure how to explain it. But that is for both teams on the ice...he is not a Homer, just a professional momentum killer

Big boy game tomorrow. Frozen 4 final. Justin close is the goalie for Minnesota. Great story, was a walk on 4 years ago and has now become one of the best. He is a former klipper.
It's a big big step up for these div 1 commits.

Kuzma. 2 goal 5 assists
McGrath 8 goal 6 assists 2 ccha rookie of the week awards.
Point is, she is a big jump. Enjoy the final game.

Didn't even notice Marburg out there until he was cleaning up the trash. Classy move from him. After he ate Kings lumber he really mellowed out in game 4 and hardly noticed him in game 5.

I wonder if the broncos ever asked themselves why they never hired former bronco Brayden Klimosko. He did apply, hometown boy, 3 coty awards, and hopefully a second championship. Bombers will want to derail that of course, but yes Humboldt has really disappointed in playoffs, just don’t seem to have the right chemistry. |

I’d say he’s done a hell of a job there, it’s tough to win a championship just ask Reagan. Barney has only coach 2 full seasons that actually had the playoffs finish, this being the 2nd. |

The Broncos had a very good team this year, I think Barney has been able to continue the great program that are the Broncos.
The incident with the trash and Humboldt players cleaning up shows so much character. That is what you want from kids who played in yer community for yer team. A little pride in what you do… win or lose. The goalie incident was unfortunate, and Rory….he just looks bad when he’s compared to Rob Hart.
Great year for the Broncos,l and I’m pretty sure they will be back next year in a big way.

When will the Bronco board realize Barney is not the man for the job. With the talent this team has had these last few years with proper coaching and leadership this team may have had a chance to make it out of the second round. As for the reffing the losers always have to have someone to blame. And here is why money can’t buy championships.

Some coaches just have no luck against other ones. Barney is 2-12 against Reagan in the playoffs without a single win at home. Those numbers are straight up nuts. If Barney had faced a different team in the 2nd round in both of those years people might not be so quick to have the pitchforks out for him. As a Bombers fan I'm ecstatic that they are off to the finals again, But both years against the Broncos in the 2nd round could have gone either way. Barney has a hard time controlling his teams when it comes to discipline. But I don't think he's that bad of a coach.
