Doug trying to fight the refs in the parking lot after a game a few years ago might have something to do with him not getting any favours from the refs š¤š§ First I've heard of such a thing with DJ involved. Are you confusing DJ with the Kaminski incident after they got knocked out of the playoffs? Yeah....pretty sure that didn't happen ...... you are like facebook....just looking for the clicks or what? I am aware of an email that was sent that I think embarrassed the officials and he worked hard to try to get past that.......

I think you are more hung up on it than I amā¦. I thought we were past this ā¦. Doug had a bad rep with the officials in Nipawin ā¦. We all know that. I am not piling on in a hawks thread I am making a relevant comment on an unrelated topic. Dougās team are not an easy out in the playoffs and they are proving it ā¦. Unlike our bag of dirty laundry that was hired. You want to let the fire go out then leave it cuz I have plenty of gasoline ā¦. What an asinine threat. You literally were just whining about Doug getting screwed over. A first place team coach going to get trumped by fifth place team coach for COTY? Coach of the Year Has nothing to do with finishing first .... or they could simply mail it out after the last game......I was referring to DJ being much more deserving of the reward for taking a perennial bottom feeder to 5th spot with barely any assets of his own......Flin Flon has been a top team for years..... Flin Flon won 7 more games than last season with a coach that had been creating assets for years Melville won 18 more games with a coach that was dealing mostly with what was left for him and seeding in 5th for the playoffs Melville previous 7 seasons: 2015-16 (16 wins) 12th place 2016-17 (22 wins) 11th place 2017-18 (23 wins) 10th place 2018-19 (16 wins) 11th place 2019-20 (16 wins) 12th place 2020-21 cancelled 2021-22 (17 wins) 10th place 2022-23 (14 wins) 12th place 2023-24 (32 wins) 5th place - and the only team not get rolled in the first round of the playoffs even though the team they are facing has 12 more points then them in ergular season standings Think about it with an open mind for a change and tell me which coach did a better job with the hand he had.....Mike Reagan or Doug Johnson. Every time I make a comment about Doug you are completely triggered...... This was not Nipawin related comment Beaverstreet, I told you I wouldn't talk about it anymore in relation to the Hawks and what they did. I simply think he got screwed over for Coach of the Year....and I know I am not alone in that. It was not a comment that deserved you raining down the 'get over Doug being gone from NIpawin ' parade. I wasn't referring to Nipawin in any way...... let it go man..... Sorry to Battleford and Melville fans for Hijacking.

You want a āMost improved team awardā ? Give it to the Mils. Coach (GM) of the year? Reagan

Ya I said b4 kaminiski and klimosko shared the award one year, Brayden team dominate #1 team all year, kaminiski pulls laronge out of the basement dwellers, carbon copy this year. Whatever Doug isnāt a guy who cares if you know him, heād rather win a sj championship, lots of work to do now, canāt drop one at home or it maybe over!

Reagan Have to disagree with you on this one.....more times than not the coach that wins the award IS the one whose team showed the greatest improvement..... I am by no means saying Reagen isn't deserving....I just think Doug was more deserving. Maybe its the big gap between the top 4 teams and 5-8

No talk about Blevins in this. The argument could be made that he did the best job given the fact he had by far the worst injuries to players of anyone in the league. Adjusting their game and playing with APs almost every game since Xmas and a lot of times dressing a shortened roster.
I donāt disagree with Mike winning it. Just saying blevs should get it before Doug Johnson should. Ha

Strange to me is that Melfort seems to have many injured players post Christmas every year. So possibly need better conditioning and as far as I know Melfort seems to use local volunteer-like people for some of the trainer jobs where other teams have trained professionals. Or they side with taking less risk with questionable injuries so the list gets bigger sooner. Not sure whats happening but yes Trevor does seem to use a lot more APs than most.

A lot of this years injuries are broken bones and concussions which I donāt think conditioning plays a part in. It could be a result of the style they play with average sized players and they get banged around by bigger players

Are you confusing DJ with the Kaminski incident after they got knocked out of the playoffs? I thought Doug was suspended for multiple games back in his Nipawin days for the parking lot incident with the Refs. Perhaps it was Killer?? I thought about looking back in the SJ discipline report but that was back in the Bill Chow days. So no point in looking back for transparency with the fans.

Hahah better conditioning. lol. Not sure how that could protect a broken hand, a broken wrist, a torn mcl, a broken collar bone and multiple head shot concussions. Two of their trainers are advance care paramedics, one of them is a full time fire department member in the city. To say they have less is actually opposite of reality. Their far more trained in specialty medical care than youāre average physio therapist looking to be an athletic trainer.

I admit i don't know the education etc of the staff and its great they have various training and share that with the team. However having training to deal with injury is a world of difference from being trained to reduce injury. Obviously broken bones from slashes etc are exempt.

Looks, like we may get the bombers unless Weyburn or Estevan can carry on . Nothing seems to change, what would be playoffs without these two clubs doing battle!
