too easy! bring on the flin FRAUD bummers!! the “too easy series” won game 4 off a clear interference in OT up 3-1: choke a lead in the third in game 5 choke a 2 goal lead late second in game 6, and win off a makeup call in OT in game 7. dont act like you guys steamrolled them, were one shot away from golfing.

Why does everyone take blevsboys so serious ? Jesus. Have a laugh and move on. We’re in tough vs flon. Banged up bad and flon is deep. Hopefully we can sneak one out up there and hope for the best. One things for sure, Stangs have learned to play under pressure and in tight games. Can’t say the same for Flon. Motew superior to laser. Gives stangs a chance. If it wasn’t for motew this series was done in 5. He was a difference maker for Humboldt.

Melforts in for a shock. Laser’s posted a .955 sv percentage in the 8 games he’s played these playoffs. Definitely wasn’t a fluke he was named goalie of the year. If there’s one thing about the playoffs this year. There’s been a hell of a lot of good goaltending.

I watch quite a bit of canadian junior hockey on flohockey. I would guess there are more games that have an audio or video issue of some kind. There are very few flawless broadcasts.
It surprises me that when a certain team or organization has continual problems with its a broadcast That the league doesn't step in and help the organization deliver a consistent product
If the league isn't interested in doing this type of thing What are they here for? The comments around some of this being volunteer help I get that. But thats just another reason why the league marketing gurus should be helping organizations in the league provide or meet the standards of a competent broadcast. I'm sure the team wouldn't turn down the help.
I get that a**** in seats is what is paying the bills right now But if teams and leagues haven't figured out that streaming isn't going away and its a revenue source...i dunno This is where some leadership from the league would come in handy in helping teams monetize it.

Something a tad ironic about these stream issues is that at one point Melfort was very much a leader when it comes to streaming. Heck, they must have started doing streams for free close to 20 years ago. It might be selective memory on my part or my expectations were that much lower back then but I would say their feed at the time was better than it is now.
To some extent the move to our current standardized streaming service kinda killed their desire. I remember their video guy (Al) used to post here a lot and he often spoke of challenges presented by software and equipment provided by neulion and then fasthockey. At the time of transitioning to the standardized services I don't think their technology integrated with what they were being forced to use. At some point I think they got frustrated, gave up and just decided to go with the flow.
That doesn't take away from the fact that whatever is going on now shouldn't be a complex problem, and if the league wants everyone on the same service they ought to be proactive in working with teams to ensure the best quality possible.

Most of the time our streams are great quality still. We do have great internet service in Melfort and I think have invested heavily in quality hardware. It sounds like we are trying to just patch the radio feed into the video feed and there’s interference between the two signals as the radio feed on its own is still great. I hope the organization does whatever it takes to fix it for the finals, even if they have to pay a professional to fix it, put the big gate money made on this series to good use.

The audio issues in the Melfort broadcast is due the incorrect setup in the broadcast booth. The Melfort broadcasts have gone from being the best in the league for years to constant issues in the last couple years. You need someone with knowledge like Al running it and fixing issues. Just having a volunteer doing it with no knowledge of how the broadcast works is what you have now.

I know Al has retired and moved on to more personal family times and he should, thats great. But was a bridge burnt so bad that the club can't call him and get some one time advice? Al did great work and was even a gentleman on this forum in the hottest of debates.

Nope, been poor most of the year. I would highly doubt they're using the old hardware, it's the cookie cutter FloHockey equipment. And patching in the audio. Almost every team can pull this off successfully. Melfort can't get it.

My bad, I obviously didn’t watch as many home games on Flo this season as I normally do (went to more in person), prior to this year we never seemed to have problems. That gives me less hope it’ll be fixed for the finals.

Motew all day long over laser!

shout out to the Humboldt crew that came and helped with Security so the locals could sit and enjoy the game. I heard it was a lost bet, not sure if that's correct, but that's what hockey is all about.
