The NHL playoffs have already started. All most all the teams played 2 games in each series. Who do you guys think that is going to win the Stanley Cup this year and why?

I think either Detroit, because they are stacked at every postion. Buffalo because they have been the top team all year and have no big name players but all 4 lines can put the puck in the net and keep the puck out of the net. Anaheim Duck, hands down have the best 1-2 defencemen in the league, JS gets hot at playoff time even tho he hasn't played yet, when he does he will be good. Teemu is one of the leagues top goal scorers. I'd bet any of these 3 will be in the final.

I agree Stars123 the Wings will be the team to beat. But you forgot about the Dom factor. He could win games on his own (but won't need to! - least shots against in the regular season for the Wings). How about my Eastern pick since the start of the playoffs - the Rangers! Up 2-0 against Atlanta heading home.
Nice Original Six Final - Detroit vs New York Rangers

I pick Buffalo vs the Ducks in the Stanley Cup finals. I know that Detroit is going to have it easy in the first round vs Calgary. Which I hate to say it. But i don't think Detroit is going to be able to bring the Stanley Cup home this year. The reason is every year they have a great season then in the playoffs they have problems. Then I really like Anaheim to win the cup because they have a complete team. They have two goalies then can win games on there own. But anything can happen in the playoffs.

So what's the deal with the Minnesota Wild not shaking hands with the Ducks after Anaheim won their series? I heard that today on the "Jim Rome Show" He had Brian Burke GM of the Ducks on and Burke didn't really say why that happened but he was very critical of the Wild. To me this tradition is one of the things that really makes the NHL playoffs stand out from the rest. I think that looks bad on the Wild organization for that.

Nice work in picking the teams that finished #1, #2, and #3 overall in the regular season standings. That was a real stretch in picking those teams.

What u have to remember the top 3 ranked teams last season did not make it very far in the playoffs. Also Nashville had as many points as Anaheim did and most would probably of picked Nashville over Anaheim because of the vetern leadership with kariya,Forsberg,Sullivan.
thanks
