This just in. According to CJNB North Battleford, the Battlefords midget AAA stars have hired Trevor Sack as there new head coach. Wasnt Sack hired in the States( W.S.H.L) as a head coach there??? He was FF assistant for the past 2 years. Sounds like hes a great coach. Maybe he can turn the AAA program around.

Maybe to take over mikes job. There would be no reason to replace Ken... Unless Ken is gonna go to NHL Central Scouting full time. What Ken has done in his last 3 years has been great. Sack was actually brought in to try and bring the AAA program back to where it needs to be.... Hopefully he is the guy that can do it. Its nice that hes back in Saskatchewan.

I don't think there are any scouts in the Leafs organization. Maybe Ken could get a job there.

But I thought the Leafs would demand excellence. Well, maybe not...

Again trying to deflect away from Ken's inability as a coach. Look at the stars in the past, nowhere near where he needs to be.

I very much doubt that Sack would be considered for Ken's job or is even being "brought in" to rebuild the AAA team. More likely he was let go down south and will finish the season and then return to FF when George vacates Sack's old job to take his new one. If Scwab and Smith couldn't turn around club then I doubt Sack will as he has far less coaching experince than both and no experience playing. Look for Micheal George to take the AAAs next year.

HAHAH If Smith or Schwab couldnt turn the team around then Sack won't be able to? Are you kiidding me??!!! Schwab dthinks he knows things, but that guy knows less than my 6 year old daughter, and Smith, he is still living in his highlighted junior career. As far as i am concerned, they could of hired a 20 year old with no hockey experience, and the team still would of done better than they have been doing the past two years. The day Schwab and Smith took/stole that team, the day hockey became a joke in the battlefords.

I don’t think bringing Sack will do any thing Different; He is part of the same group. AS I remember He was helping Swaby with his AAA tryout camps 2 years ago.

I am just going to take a wild stab in the dark here and say that you Calgarypro are a little bitter betty over your son either being cut by the club or these coaches did not think he is the superstar that you think he is? The only thing you post on here has to pertain with your obviious dislike for Schwab and Smith, get over it already. And that club was ran into the ground LONG before they took over so get your facts straight Mike.. I mean Bill... i mean Calgarypro!!!

Hahaha believe it or not my kids are all too old too to be playing AAA. I try to attend most aaa games and Junior A games in my community, and do not get me wrong, I do not know Smith personally, but i have heard he is a nice guy. I have heard awful things , and not from parents, but from scouts who most likely have more knowledge on the subject of hockey than the likes of most of you, about Schwab. I am sure hockeygod, (probably a relation to Schwab) considering all his family have there hands somewhere in the hockey world, is still those few believers that still have faith in ole Schwab. Perhaps if he can get his head out of his butt, and teach players, rather than insult them as I have seen from the stands on some occasions, he could turn things around. When i heard he was stepping down after only a year of coaching, I am guessing he realized he wasnt as good of a coach as he thought he was or was too embarrased. As for Ken Pearson, i think he is still doing well with the stars, he deserves his role, and I hope everything works well for him. Teams have there ups and downs, and what he has done for the stars has been great so far. Give him a chance and some credit. I wish Trevor Sack all the luck, and hopefully their AAA team can do well. I moved back to Sask recently, and was curious if anyone knows what ended up happening to that gervais boy, cant remember first name, but i think he is a 92, 91? ?. Where did he end up?

Oh where do I begin Calgarypro.....first off, you say all of your kids are too old to be playing midget AAA yet you have a 6 yr old daughter who know more about hockey than Schwab? Ok good one, secondly if you take a look at the majority of your posts on this blog they are ALL in reference to Schwab and what a horrible human being he is which quite obvioulsly means you have some sort of personal vandetta against him. So...... if in fact your kids, are too old to be playing midget AAA why are you so concerned with Schwab? Secondly lets get a few of your misguided facts straight, the midget AAA program in NB was ran so far into the ground by Belyak and Carriere that NO ONE had a chance of making it a success in just one year. Schwab had no intention of taking over coaching that team at all let alone realizing he was an awful coach after one year and packing it in as you stated. There was no one else to take over at the time so he agreed to coach for one year to try and improve some of the damage that those other two managaed to do. And before you start ranting as you have done in your previous negative posts about him, he did not want to coach his son anymore let alone only further his hockey career as you have also stated. As far as you just coming back to the community, come on pal you seem to think your know everything that Schwab does every waking second so I find it hard to believe you have just moved back to the community, nice diversion though.oh and throwing in the Gervais thing that was good too..lol I would also be very curious to know which one of these knowledgeable scouts think that about him and why on earth they would be sharing that type of information with the likes of you?? Finally to end this post I am going to say that perhaps you should get over your hatred for the Schwab family and be spend more time trying to nurture your "6 year old daughter" into not becoming such a huge ignoramas as yourself!! Have a nice day

Well I have to give you credit for dedicating yourself to the rant there HockeyGod and I do agree that CalgaryPro is a touch overzealous in his critique of the current regime, I would like to point out that its common knowledge that Dallin led a large contingent into the AAAs annual meeting and literally nominated the entire board. Not that that is uncommon in minor hockey at all and really not that unfair if he had the numbers to do it. He was not asked as a last resort but rather applied, interviewed and was then hired. The board went through the process of taking resumes, interviewing other candidates and naturally hired the guy that nominated them all, lol. At the time I actually thought the program was better off with the incoming regime over the outgoing. Time has neither proven me right or wrong so far, however I would think that they are running out of time to turn things around before another group mobilizes. All is fair in love and minor hockey. hahahaha. I'm sure it's not the first or last time such a thing will happen.
