Shame on the SJHL for there officiating crews they assign to do playoff games. They want to become a high end Jr A league in Canada, guess what not with Meyer and Dufour doing a game. Meyer gets booed out of Yorkton this year and Dufour has been awful everywhere. Put them together you have a embarrassment to the game. The Kevin White circus did come to Yorkton, but it was needed, these two clowns butchered the game. The Yorkton Terrier parents were embarrassed for the SJHL and the Terriers for this lack of professionalism by these two. Don't get me wrong Yorkton was going to win the game and series but lets make things fair for both sides. The players are going to police themselves if the officiating crew isn't. The officials are suppose to supply a fair and safe environment for teams and players. If one team is getting over penalized over the other things can go side ways or no calls either way things end upside down. These two Meyer and Dufour should be done doing games, send them back to Pee Wee to learn the game.

D. Myers can't even ref a Jr. B hockey game probably, i find it not surprising he can screw up a Jr. A game. I agree though he should go back to officiating Pee Wee hockey instead.

I agree that the officiating can be an issue, not for all games, and not last night in Yorkton. I saw a very undisciplined Notre Dame team taking foolish penalties and then whining about being caught.

So, what is the reason tonight. 5 Hound penalties in the first period. Seems like they are pretty undisciplined to me. That starts right from the coach. He tried pretty hard to get tossed from game one but the refs made him suffer just like his team had to listening to him scream and holler.

I thought this series was going to be an easy sweep for the Terriers....

If there are a small amount of officials the league puts more trust in why do they constantly schedule several games on one night and then none the very next night. Of course it wouldn't work perfectly all season but could they not schedule 3 games a night instead of 5 and 6. easier to supply refs - NO?

I am pondering the thought that perhaps the SJHL doesn't keep its website too up to date is intentional - in regards to suspensions etc. Evan Mignault was suspended for 3 games from a hit that hurt Hirsy - Now I don't like anyone gettin ghurt but the ref told the Melfort coach seconds after the hit that it was clean and the unfortunate result was because Hirsky was off balance when he got hit. Then it is announced that Mignault gets 3 games.
The SJHL is telling their refs they are incompetant and will make the calls for them. I would feel slighted if I was a ref. Then don't put it on the webiste so people don't know the league is reffing the games from the video supplied by the loosing team.
If you read the AJ of BCHL websites the suspensions are said to be added on after the ref called a minor or major in the game. If you read the SJ it is often vague - saying for an incident ...
I don't like when the league goes over the ref - this OFTEN

the league got it right, after watching the video, the ref missed the call on the ice. it was a blindsided hit, crosschecking, checking from behind, whatever you want to call it.

Bloski is by far the worst ref in the league, just another example of a ref trying to make the game about himself.

(((( the league got it right, after watching the video, the ref missed the call on the ice. it was a blindsided hit, crosschecking, checking from behind, whatever you want to call it. )))) Well I don't recall a section in the rule book for blind sided hits. Its contact hockey, keep your head up. Perhaps I need to get used to it with the non-contact levels emerging. So after seeing the tape was it a cross check, or was it a check from behind or was it boarding? - Did he even hit the boards? Did you personally see the tape - what was it? Sincerely - what did you see?, was it a cross check from behind into the boards with his knee in the gut and an elbow in the shoulder? I would be surprised if any Ref could miss all of those.
Bloski didn't ref this game - it was Bourdon - if the Blosi comment was refering to his bad call on this. IMO blind sided off balance hits are not the checkers problem - they are the receiver's problem, though I AM NOT condoning taking advantage of a player who is vunerable. And this is not the case in this situation.

It doesn't matter which video I watched, I'm not the one complaining. If you want to see it pay the $7 and watch it. Better yet maybe you can ask the league and they we will send you a copy. If I had to call it it would be CFB or crosschecking. If you didn't watch the video I guess not much need for a comment. Is there any ref capable of satisfying you fans in Nipawin. I am sure Mr.Johnson has sent in some video to be reviewed, they all do. Good Job for getting it right.

So we see Bell's suspension posted but nothing from melforts mulitple fight night. ODD.
I know TROLL was thrown around on this thread - but what about this.
Teams are having a hard time making budget, the league scamms$$$$$ from every team. Then the league sells digital signage and keeps all the l team sells digital sognage time the team feeds some back to the league. Seems the league is bere for itself, not the teams. I was under the impression the league was hear to help the teams. The league sells Canalta packages and Subway packages but teams gleen nothing - Am I Wrong??? Teams are forced to advertise for the league.
Something is backward here. Maybe it is time for new leadership at the league level. get things back to where the league serves the teams instead of the teams serve the league Anyone know what Chow gets paid? Anyone know that the league spends gobs of cash without a govenor approval? Sorry - the league is actually spending team cash.
