I don't imagine any of the teams above .500 are going to be sellers, though at this point I'm starting to think it is the logical move for the Mils considering they are presently still carrying nine 20 year olds and have established themselves are a bottom feeder that might win one big game a month when they get the right bounces.
What we could see this year, for the first time in 5 seasons is a league champion that was not a division leader. It has actually only happened twice in the last decade (04-05 Terriers and 09-10 Ice Wolves)

If you take away the 6 juicy points, bombers are just a little over 500 right now, not that great of team...

That would be the glass half empty approach. You could also look at it as the Bombers have points in 17 of the 20 games they've played, pretty good team.....

Exactly. What an irritating comment. There's such a great parity and so many variables. Going into extra time in this league on the majority of nights is a victory in itself. I'm just going to leave it at that as clearly you don't know what you're talking about.

" I love to win, but I hate losing even more." The bombers don't go 'quietly" this year. Wednesday night with Arena Rockin Rocki and the Klippers, he's gonna bring his hair due and hate stare....gotta go to that game. Could be game of the week. L4D

I was also interested in the Bombers vs. Klippers game as an early test. Coming off a rare Klippers loss, I expected a focused, intense game, but the Bombers posted their second consecutive shutout and outshot them in a 4-0 win. It is still way too early to know, but there are several teams that appear ready to make a run for the league title. This list includes the Bombers, and early returns on the recent trades seem to have made them a deeper team with solid goaltending, D core and forwards who can score and play in their own end.

Gee Moondoggy I guess that means only the Terriers can win the league championship, as cassan is the only "proven" coach in the league. What about an "unproven" coach, could Melfort win it all, the Klippers, the Hounds, the Mils, the Stars, The Hawks....yeah they all could win it, including the Bombers..... your such a one trick pony, almost every comment you make is the same. I haven't seen Hofley on a game sheet in the last 3. What's the deal. I was looking forward to a solid 1-2 punch.

You know what else would be a good 1-2-3 punch? Brett Boehm, who's rights came back to the Bombers, has only played like 5 games down in college...what an addition that would be if he decided to come back. Does anyone have an in with him? What's the reasoning for not playing? Don't imagine a guy like that really like sitting out of games. He pretty much won that final game at the WCC for Yorkton last year.

3 goalies is a good thing to have, using one of them as trade bait to fill a current hole or to provide some assets for next year. But speaking from Ice Wolves experience this season when the Wolves were carrying 4 at one point, the goalies do not like that. If I was Reagan (which I am not), I would make a deal as quickly as possible to avoid the deadline rush.
Also Roving, Boehm's rights are back with the Bombers? wow!!! no sorry WOW!!! I would think that if he came back to the bombers, that would put them over the top as the favorites.

Boehmn will never play again with the BOMBERS. If he got sent back from College (unlikely) he would get dealt, I can almost assure you that. You have to remember that he is a Rookie in College, and they do their rosters differently.

Sooooo, 123, you would think that someone of his ability and talent would get dealt? Why do you think that? Entertain me with your wisdom please!!

I agree with ff123, Boehm, will never play for the bombers organization ever again, too much bad blood spilled, as for college, they carry 25 to 30 players on a roster in most cases, most freshman do not play every game, you are looking at a 4 to 5 year program, not like junior where it a 3 to 4 year program. even nhl draft picks don't dress every game.

Too much bad blood, do you know something? What happened? Are you a Flin Flonner moondoggy?

Boehm made it abundantly clear while he was in Yorkton last year that if he was asked to defer school for a year he would not return to Flin Flon.

That's a swell rumor but he was actually leaning towards coming back and a family issue was part of the reason. He decided to go because he still has the option of returning mid season if it's not all he hoped it would be. If you start the season in the SJ there really isn't an option to jump to the NCAA halfway through. The bad blood story is just a bunch of coffee talk.

He ain't exactly tearing it up in the NCAA so far but that's typical for almost any rookie.I think its a massive jump to division hockey, way bigger then major junior which is kids under 20, NCAA is MEN primarily as old as 24 and living on their own. Most rookies will ride the bench even for two years in an elite program. He may come back yet....

hmmm, leaning on coming back, coffee talk? why would he take a chance on losing his scolly by quitting and coming back to junior a when he has already won everything he can that level. if his goal is too play in the nhl, he is in the right place, like i said, there are nhl draft pics that don't play every game as a freshman in college.and another note. if everything was good between the Boehm's and the bombers , why did they trade away his two younger brothers also.

Why trade the Boehm brothers...two reasons Lacousiere and Evans, both in the line up, both playing, and where are the Boehm brothers...I don't know maybe Stars123 knows L4D

Carson didn't make the team.. He's playing junior B in saskatoon.. From what I was told it was his attitude as well.. Dawson is playing aaa midget in Beardys.

Moondoggy is making giant leaps in logic and deriving his own conclusions on here say. Lefty stayed with facts in reply as did stars123. Only one who knows what Brett boehm is thinking is Brett boehm. Does a player lose an entire year or the entire scholarship if they come back to junior A for one semester? I seem to remember melforts goalie in the centennial cup year came to the Stang's from a division 1 school and then eventually went back to division 1 and a cup of coffee in the NHL
