There is always the possibility of a few bad attitudes. It's amazing the damage a dressing room cancer can do to a team. I am only saying its a possibility.

In my humble opinion since we have seen them twice in one week. Poor goaltending not making the save when needed. Rest of team looks to play tough.

Defence is young. Its easy to coach against a team with one line (1 player)of offence. Goaltending average before Glass got hurt now put weight of trying to makeplayoffs on young goalie, on team can't score going to be tough to squeak in the Hawks record is pretty close to where it should be maybe even a little better thanks to big line and quick improvement of some of young D early on. Lets face it if they get into playoffs they should thank FF and LA for the firesale!

I agree somewhat with these comments I just wonder why our good players or not consitent from one game to the other . It's frustrating , and I dont think it's all the goaltenders fault when Glass was playing things werent much better.Penalties seem to be a BIG factor in my opinion and our power play is well it speaks for itself . Thank for the input .

Hawks held their banquet March 22. Kozun's Away Jersey sold for $4600. to one of the "fans". Kozun gets to keep the home jersey because he is a grad. Has anyone heard of a higher price for a jersey in the SJHL? Any high priced stories out there.

Ice Wolves jerseys have beat that number a handful of times. One this season went for $5800
Also, they don't do home and away. You only get one jersey.

During the back to back SJHL Championship winning seasons they were quite high, several jerseys over the years have been consistently well in the thousands, I have seen Bartko's for 5K+, Hovdebo 3.5K+, Another Bartko and Danyluk were 3.5k+. This years 5800 was Beauregards, he is a hell of a good/smart young man and I guess someone wanted it, it's also a way to give to the team as it is a major fundraiser for the club.

Thanks for your promp reply I was just curious ' and wonder why people would pay that much for a Jr. A jersey , it blows my mind . I have a friend that paid $2500.00 for a Bobby Orr authograph jersey from the supper series .

snipe44...good one...the jersey for Jr A players is more about fund raising than "collectables"...but 5K for a jersey is pretty impressive fund raising. L4D

Garret Dunlop had a 4 point night Sunday in the 5-4 OT win. Since the SJHL never even mentioned the win I thought I would try to salvage the glory here. He did most of the work for the winner but got the assist.
Melfort and Kindersely get a lot of the chat about being at the top but they also have played more games than most. Melfort may be worth the hype but KK is riding on more games played. At almost any given time in the season if you spot the lower team the points missed on games not played KK wouldn't be at the top.
The battle for 3rd overall at the Whitney tonight should be good, makes me feel like calling in sick! "Whitney" - now were going viral

The only team that could catch KK is Melfort if all games were equal. They would be one point ahead. I think if a team is ahead in points and has played more games, they deserve the hype, you still have to win those games. If nipawin wins four games in a row, it still puts them behind KK, big feat

Yikes was the reffing bad lastnight in that game. Melfort is strong from top to bottom, not an excuse for the Hawks loss. Was an entertaining game to watch. More than a couple of bad calls penalty wise. Melfort had 6 players on the ice for the better part of 20 seconds and no call. Puck goes down to Melforts end, shot on net... puck is still visible Lockeridge goes for it and gets called for slashing... Doug Johnsons head looked like Rudolphs nose!! Looking back at the Carter Berg trade, I would much rather have kept Heath... one of the best D men I have seen all year. Even at the time I skeptical about the trade. Berg was good, but not a game changer.

Great tilt between Mack and Fournier on Tuesday. Why did the refs feel the need to break it up before it over? Hawks players need to pick their spots to fight better that almost lost the the game.

I'm sure the Hawk's fans will find some sort of excuse. Maybe the puck wasn't frozen??? Was nice to see the Mustangs raise their sticks to fan's after Nipawin pulled that stunt in Melfort a couple nights ago, payback is a b****. Also, how does Flodell not get in the net more? He's the only reason it wasn't about 7-1. Palmer was solid for Melfort, the shot total's weren't indicative of the play. Melfort was the better team all night, no question. Melfort is finally getting healthy.

No excuses, but I don't agree that Melfort was the better team all night. Melfort was way better on the PP and the PK. 5 on 5 both teams are even but we didn't see near enough of it. Hawk's lack discipline. They take bad penalties at the wrong times and they don't capitalize on man advantages at the key times. Melfort's power play units are clearly deeper and stronger. Hawk's had 9 power play goals after their first 4 games. Throw out their first 4 games and they'd be near the bottom of the league. They've been in free fall since. You have to scratch your head watching it. Discipline and special teams wins championships. Hawks better figure it out.

I would say the players raised their sticks because they were appreciative of the fans travelling for the road games, there was a good visitor turnout for both games. Don't read too deep into it.

beaverstreet has it right - No one should have to apologize for saying thanks - The Hawks were the 1st to do it 3 yrs ago when Jensen was on the team - Politley waiting until Melforet was off the ice then saluting the about 200 Hawks fans at the Palace. Melfort saluting their fans in Nipawin is just a kind gesture , if it feeds the rivallry, then feed it. These days it is a fun rivallry not a violent one.
Ken Snaith has to wear a Mustang Jersey on Jan 1- cause he lost the "FUN" challenge with Isberg. Its all in fun and these are kds who played together a lot last year in AAA. I don't think they hate each other , maybe the fans shouldn't either.
