Wonder how much longer Rewerts is out for in NB......Don't care if others think he lost his starter role, maybe he was just in a rut, he can play and return as the starter. Maybe his 'rut' was caused by the injury that he is now taking care of. A healthy Rewerts is the number one tender IMO, regardless what the numbers say. When he returns he will have to prove it, that will push both tenders to be better. Goalies competing, good for the team...
Could be right.....he looked out of sync when I watched him last game. Fought the puck and honestly you don't have guys who can play then all of a sudden switch goes off. He gets back to original Ryan and nb will be one tough bunch.

Nb won't beat top teams like melfort and flin flon in a seven game series. Can't see it happening, flin flon is a good solid hockey team.

What pieces are missing? Records only solidify where and who you play in playoffs.... So long as they do not have to play flin flon or weyburn they probably will win. Nb has out played most teams, but manage to lose against teams that can hold them to a couple of goals. They need a top end goalie like what flin flon and weyburn have. And it's not so much top end skill guy, it's the experience they bring to play the games where 19 and 20 year olds shine. Confidence and experience is the key to success. No difference at any age group senior guys have more ability to compete.

It's sounds like you may be satisfied with present team chemistry to win the league. That's ok but look at nb record vs weyburn, flin flon and melfort. Logically may only have to play 2 of those teams to win. Would you be comfortable playing 2.....7 game series against those clubs without bolstering there line up. Those team are willing to make changes to beat nb's present squad, they'll need to make changes too if they want to stay ahead. Unless the coaching staff is confident with the present bunch then we'll see how they will do. This team is the best team I've seen in the battlefields for a long time, but will still need to be better.

I agree with your comments. A SOLID tender, a big, steady defense man. One that won't give up the puck under pressure. I don't think the 2 seventeen year old d men can do it. We will need some goals from the checking line. Nice to have a guy to steal a game for us in net. Or at least no softies. I haven't seen 2 17 year old defencemen on 1 team with as much skill and poise that Cody and Levi have in years.

If you remember last year, it was because of Kleiboer and spagrud that we won the series against estevan.. Without them we wouldn't of won.

Spagrud and Kleiboer are tremendous players, but you wanna win you find one more big tough d man, and a goalie that has experience in between pipes during playoffs.

These 2 dmen must have really developed this year as they were both very average in Midget AAA last season.

Seems to me that I mentioned to another poster about the five young guys who have decent shots at scholarships. Young, buziak, Kleiboer, spagrud and gerein. When I watched earlier in year gerein was on defense but now he is playing forward? In midget he was a excellent defense man, did he get pushed out of d core? Or are they planning to put him back there next year? Nb along with yorkton have some excellent under age kids playing in there system, yorkton doesn't have the top end 19 and 20 yr olds but they'll be good soon.

You have a rookie goalie playing well....thinking it's brett Clark.....if so he started with humboldt, traded to Calgary, then bc. Just looked at stats, will be interesting to see if he pushes for a starting role.

You've seen them both in NB, you tell me if they would be good additions?, admittedly neither was supported by a sterling defensive unit at the time. But it looks like Zentner hasn't played since he was cut by the klippers, not junior anyway, and Clark must have a free travel voucher. 3 teams this season and only 9 games.

Correct typing error on my part, Zentner played those prior to being let go by the Klippers as I said, he hasn't played since.

I remember Zentner, he stunk. Didn't take long before he left the Klippers. Clark never played a game against the Stars, but I have seen his stats. Big reveal tomorrow! Clark is surplus to requirements in West Kelowna, they just got the former Kitchener Rangers keeper.

What I don't understand is why do you bring in a goalie now when both regulars are healthy and ready to play? They had 3 weeks with rewerts being injured, and they fill spots with ap's. In that stretch they only start one of those ap's, which I was surprised he did, cause he was just a 99 born tender. That was a premium time to find and start a guy like Clark. My opinion is rewerts is as good as Clark, and either get him back starting games or he'll won't be able to be game ready for rest of season.
