With Delainey back, the Stars have gotten stronger. Add Freed and Hall(injured) to the equation and the stars look very strong..

1 season and Freed is on his fourth team. Maybe he should've just stayed and played with his home town team.....

4 teams in a year-- maybe his hometown team knew something and didn't want him

4 teams in a year?? He was with Dauphin all of last season and then got traded to Drumheller and then Battlefords. He wasn't getting the playing time he wanted in Drumheller.

He was traded from brooks to Manitoba without playing now a game. Chose to sign their instead of Melfort I'm told.

That's true. Sometimes things happen. I'd sure like to have gotten him to stay in Melfort.

or maybe freed knows Blevins and doesn't want to play for him. Cha Ching Does make sense when I think about it. Blevins expects work ethic and all players to compete in the tough areas f the ice. So it does make sense freed wouldn't want to play for him. He's a perimeter guy

You gotta appreciate the Mustangs' fans loyalty - Defend to the death! Put on green and blue and you become ..... I've stopped using words cause most of the time people read what they want anyway.

Wasn't defending him at all, just saying why I think it makes sense Freed chose to go elsewhere. Watch him play, and once you realize how soft he is, you'll think ... man thegreat1 sure knows his things.
Blevin's teams are up tempo and even their small guys have "some" grit. They go to the net and try get dirty, even if they are small. Freed is not that player, never has been and never will be. All the skill in the world, but he's tiny, has zero edge to his game and lets be honest, he plays scared. Who would Melfort have taken out of their lineup to give him games last year anyway ....
He might do fine on NB with a bunch of big guys to protect him and create space, but he wouldn't fit in Melfort.

But he does lack "the it factor" to his game, and he has been rather unsuccessful in junior a hockey thus far.. Also the thegreat1 what do you think the mustangs will do when Yaremchuck and Leverton are back playing? Almost too many good forwards in my opinion, some of them are gonna be unhappy with ice. What are your thoughts.

What are your thoughts. I think they have to try a move a forward for a top dman. Tough part with Warkentine and Yaremchuk is both are 19, so they could be important next year. That said, you have to give up something good, to get a good dman. I would say Yaremchuk may get moved. Hard to say how it'll all shake out. Depends how healthy the team stays too. Definitely need a top end dman though.

He's been rather unsuccessful in junior A? Really? he scored 30 points as an 18 year player... That's more than Frei, Fauchaux ,Boyer, had as 18 year olds. They turned out well.. As a Gm if he became available and all you had to give up was cash you wouldn't give him a chance? He blew up Smaaahl and had decent numbers in Junior A last year. I'm told by a couple people he's extremely slick with the puck and has out of this world skills.. Just going by what I'm told. Maybe he works out maybe he doesn't.. But you gotta give the kid a chance. Maybe he didn't fit into melforts plans.. Some kids need to play away from home. Danczak didn't work out in NB (his hometown) but he went to Nipawin and was very good for them. Also he had said that he would only play in the AJHL. So maybe Blevins thought he wouldn't play in Saskatchewan? Kevin was able to get him to come back to Saskatchewan... Here's the article that says he would only play in AJHL. www.dauphinkings.com/news_article/show/534737?referrer_id=1986419

Freed, Not a bad pick-up for the stars.... Another pt per game player that Kevin got for nothing... Very entertaining game tonight. Lots of good chances for both teams.

was just looking at stars line-up and stats. of all goals scored 27% of them on the powerplay. they have scored 45 goals on the pp 18 more ppg then the next team who has 27. also have scored 6 short handed goals doubling the next at 3. pretty impressive specialty teams stats. and for the most part a very young team.

So far you've implied I'm the president and a board member. Get over it. I'm neither. And hopefully freed has read this and improves his game. He hasn't looked to very good here so far. If there's anything I've said above that isn't completely accurate please enlighten me...

A fan does not get 100% of the trades right before it's posted anywhere and everything else posted by you, that just does not happen unless you have close ties to the team and if not someone with the team has very loose lips!!!!!!!!
