My point is you are fiddling with a team who has been successful all season. Melfort tries it and look what happens....still early and they could reclaim there supposed number 1 form, but there trades really didn't make them any stronger. Adding a goalie who you think is a number one guy with his stats poses a lot of what if questions. If you added a burgart, robidauex, wapple, Joyce....then your talking a bonified guys.

But with your philosophy on the same team that Fuhr was on, Wapple looks like a down grade... Look at his stats... 4.15 .898 sv% you'd still go after Clark....

Wapple played in the western league.....if you think the whl and sjhl are comparable leagues you are way wrong.

And if next year is NB's year then probably playing the guys who have the ability to return would be wise. Or next year your looking for another 20yr old with playoff experience. You have to believe in your assets or get rid of them. Honestly if they wanted to upgrade they should have looked for a top end d-man who can play the pp.

All I'm hoping is to see this team win the whole thing....they have what it takes and with some determination they cannot be matched, even by mustangs..... Sure I'll get a rebuttal on that but I'm a stars fan.

Anyone catch stars game in Edam.....no coverage on website Yup, I was there. North Stars took a good thumping. La Ronge took advantage of the tiny ice surface, face off circles against the boards, no room behind the nets. La Ronge gave stars no time to set up. Goaded the NorthStars into some bad penalties, and took advantage. Kotchorek got chased from the net. Lots of rough stuff at the end. And LaRonge fed off the loud crowd and out right beat us. Oh ya, Joyce was good, great, lucky too most of the game, but stopped 50 I think. From the lobby we could see things brewing between fans on either side of the rink. Lots of yelling, taunting from fans of both teams. There is no place for finger gestures and moms yelling at LA players leaving the ice. I met a few players parents Friday at the social at the CC, who have travelled a long way, and spoke highly of the organization. Nice people. I hope last night didn't spoil that. I am pretty rough around the edges, but...We should have represented better. We left before it continued in the lobby. Must say looked like majority of NB and LA fans were good. It was ice wolves night, NS got an ugly loss out of the way. Now keep hold of 1st place. Ya checked game sheet out but looks like katchorek in for all 7.

Man this team can push shots on net, outplay there opposition and manage to lose against teams like flin flon, weyburn, and melfort. Has to be a little frustrating, oh well just another dip in the road I guess.

All we need now is one of our tenders to solidify a .900sv % down the stretch and think we can win it all.

Has to be a little frustrating, oh well just another dip in the road I guess. Yup. Stars out shot opposition 94-57 last 2 games. Would liked to have seen 2 W's Shots in the last game were deceiving. 15 plus were from the centre line to the hash marks as the stars gained the zone- not exactly scoring chances. Obviously the message from the coach is to put pucks on net. Not that I am doubting the strategy as it is clearly working, just pointing out that shots on net don't necessarily tell the whole story.

All we need now is one of our tenders to solidify a .900sv % down the stretch and think we can win it all. [br We have 1 tender over .900 and 1 just under at .895. Hasselberg has 11 games to figure this out. Who starts tomorrow? Who sits this one out? Fuhr might just need to lose the rust. Maybe used to more shots. Rewerts and Kotchorek will need some too Interesting Me I'm giving rewerts the next 2 games, his job to lose and fuhrs job to win it over. Katchorek to me I am only guessing he's odd man out strictly cause of age. He was on fire before but the addition if Fuhr has him in the stands. Maybe our of rhythm and was hoping that situation wasn't going to happen. Someone just needs to step up abd that can happen in a blink of a eye.....confidence!

Nice to see Rewerts earn the shutout win. He was making a statement. He's back! NS first pp, I counted 27 passes and 2 shots in the first 1:08, from the starting unit. Things clicked later, but what are you waiting for? Shoot!!!! I missed why Cambell rag dolled Buziak, I am guessing is the comment made by mack. Fransoo had to step in to save Kliebor too. Mack is right, if you are gonna chirp be ready to go. Kliebor better buy Fransoo lunch for that one. Not the best game NS have played, but scoring again A big win to get us back on track. There pp is so easy to read! Middle point man isn't shooting, he's setting up a one timer....move!!!! They scored a bunch of goals on pp but 20 penalties compared to 7 would kind of give you enough opportunities also. Yup Kleiboer should let fransoo tap him in the jaw once at least. Good lord did fransoo bark up the wrong tree. And buziak taps and hacks his way to near death watching the way he was rag dolled. He should have been embarrassed instead he was proud and claimed he did nothing wrong....gheez

The league stats only go back to 2010-11 when this happened:
1 * Keegan Bruce Weyburn Red Wings 58 22 26 48 0 37 0.83 0 5 0 2 * Coltyn Sanderson Weyburn Red Wings 57 19 29 48 0 36 0.84 0 1 0 3 * Jesse Ross Weyburn Red Wings 52 27 20 47 0 34 0.90 2 5 0
Not sure this is what you are looking for cause I think top 3 is better than top 2 but at least I tried.

The stats are missing from 2005-2010 but this is the closest I could find for you Stars. 80, 68, 44, and 38 for Kindersley was a pretty good year for their rookies. Your guys better pull up their socks to hit 80.

Having a bad day? No need to get ignorant. Simply asked a question... Nope, just answering your question for you all with information found right on the SJHL site (amazingly enough) which you could have found for yourself. You instead chose to ask the question in an attempt to brag your team up, as always, on this forum, where everyone can marvel at the amazing Stars! There are a lot of factors that go into point production in this league. One of your "rookies" is a 19 yr old- that is a lot different than a 16, 17, or 18 year old rookie. Where did Downs play last year? Different coaches use rookies different ways, chemistry, minutes played, and the situations they play in are all key in how many points they will get in a season. The big question is how will these young, inexperienced players hold up in the playoffs? What is their plus/minus? Are they a liability in a tight checking, defensive game in the playoffs? These are important questions.

The big question is how will these young, inexperienced players hold up in the playoffs? What is their plus/minus? Are they a liability in a tight checking, defensive game in the playoffs? These are important questions. No one needs to marvel at anything...I marvel at the goaltending that Weyburn has and the tremendous chemistry that the triplets in FlinFlon have.. I found it to be an acomplisment just like Burgard,Smith,Seiferling getting getting div1 scholarships. There something this league can be proud of..doesn't happen everyday.. I went to the sj site and what a mess it is there. I spent long enough on there and thought maybe someone remembered when.. To answer your question Downs played last year in California with the Ontario Avalanche AAA team. Not sure how they will hold up in the playoffs, but a positive is they have playoff experience.. Downs won a championship with his AAA team last season, and Young was a runner up last year in the SMAAAHL league finals.. Spagrud and Kleiboer spent the whole playoffs last year with the stars and played key minutes, that's got to be a positive moving forward. I guess time will tell..
