Webb then traded to Sherwood park on the same day.

Lavalee is from Quebec? Might help out with scoring!

the bombers have had so many "near wins" maybe its just the addition of one player that puts them in the win column...a little more frequently....that would be nice... I like Bomber threads...they are interesting...others I find a little boring...especially anything about the North Stars.....just sounds like....toilet paper unravelling...IMO L4D

Send your complaints to MTS. They're screwing the whole town on internet, not just the SJ.

Yup. Because the Bombers control MTS and all internet in Northern Manitoba. Hey Melfort Mustangs, get a Costco Store in your town. Give your heads a shake, gentlemen!

Terrible organization that can't provide a decent video feed....pretty much describes MTS.....but, I don't think it's the reason why the stangs were beaten by the last place bombers. I am sensing some life at the Whitney.... L4D

had a chance to catch the mustangs/bomber game tonight. bombers played a solid game and should have won hands down. I don't see this team being the cellar dweller as they are more than capable of playing with the top teams. 5 min lapse and no finish on several chances. Powerplay could have buried the stangs but just couldn't click. Palmer was huge for mustangs.

Most of the goals come in practice I think.

The Bombers.....an enigma....., but now an enigma that has maybe some secondary scoring....and improved goal tending....but lately, a road trip that goes through melfort, nipawin, la ronge and Flin Flon.......could be long, cold ....and pointless. L4D

Bombers a very much improved hockey club... If they put a few wins together they could be the team on the move in the second half....

Well Yorktown and Melville are here this weekend, then a tough road trip...the road trip will be an indicator of their improvement, or not I suppose....but the team seems to be improving, have to hand it to Mike once again, it's not how you start but how you finish? L4D

Stellar road trip so far, against some good teams, bombers go on the break feeling good about the team, unless the klippers reaaaaaly bum them out, second half could be exciting for bomber fans. Merry Xmas all, best of the season and a happy new year L4D

How many wins in the 7 game stretch were won without their head coach on the bench?

Monndoggy, you realize off course Mike was busy helping Team Canada win a gold medal, generally an SJHL fan would applaud such an action as Reagan does coach an sjhl team. However I can acknowledge you are not a Reagan fan and would prefer to find fault as that is your general nature. So let me take the opportunity to congratulate Mike on a job well done for Team Canada West, also congrats to Gary Childerhouse on a fine job in mikes absence. Best of the season to all. L4D

I would think Gary would be the "heir apparent" for the position or at least on a short list of candidates. I did refer to Team Canada West if you read the entire post, it does not diminish Reagans contribution to the success of the team, either for the Bombers or Team Canada West. Just say something positive about Reagan....just once...its Xmas...you can do it. L4D

Bombers may not dominate during the regular season, especially in the Sherwood. But I'd hate to have to go into the Whitney for a series against this club. They're built for the playoffs.

I'm not going to take anything away from Childerhouse or Bortis. They did a hell of a job while Reagan was away but the success started before Reagan left. This team is 12 and 3 in their last 15. 66 goals for 34 against in the last 15. Some trades were made and some key players came back from injury. Starting to get secondary scoring. Hot goaltending. Its going to be an exciting second half but still think we need that 1-2 d man though.

I am really impressed with the trio of smith, kocur, switzer. they are now the best tandem in the league. surprising speed and will be difficult to contain come playoff time. I haven't seen them play enough but appear to be able to put up numbers through any type of match-up. come playoffs only concern would be secondary scoring as the next closest forward with points is reitmeier with 21. but they sure seem to be getting it done.
