With the edition of Sinclair I think if you put him with etter that's a really good #1 pair

I have heard talks about Boutin becoming a bomber have taken place, but only if the Mustangs aren't close to a contender come trade deadline.

Well the Mustangs are definitely not contenders this season, so either Flon isn't willing to pay as much as Blevins thinks Boutin is worth or Blevins is being way too optimistic about this season. If Flon thinks Boutin would be an important missing piece wouldn't it be smart to make the trade right now so they have him for most of the season and can still get a top 2 spot and first round bye for the playoffs? If they wait and stay in the 3 or 4 spot they might just be kicking themselves when they playoffs come and they have a tough gritty first round series.

I agree with Stangman. If he is going sometime, sooner is smarter. Fit in sooner, learn the system, gets some points, work on the scholly, keep the moral up with a few extra wins. IMO for Boutin, its all better in FF, this year.

After last nite I am pretty optimistic the Bombers have a better defensive core with the probability of getting a lot better. Sinclair brings some great offense as well, he may have been a little out of shape, but if he only gets better, well the bombers only get better then, glad to have him. Mike has 10 20 year olds on the roster now...whatever that means. last year Mike's trading was all done before everyone else got started, rest easy elbows and stangnman..I think Boutin is the obvious choice for the Bombers, I like his grit...edge...he would be a fine addition to the club. Wait and see I suppose. The Kindersley coach is a real screamer...is he a turkey farmer by chance? L4D

With the addition of Sinclair the bombers offence will take a huge step, then add in Boutin on the top line in FF and the bombers will be destined for a championship

Any word on what the bombers gave up to get Sinclair? I am assuming it is 2 players for next year and cash or something. I am surprised that there wasn't a player going to Melville for this year. I have also heard that Plotnik is off to Kindersley.

If Plotnick is gone that would be a good deal for Melville as he wasn't the best guy on their roster. It will send a single of confidence to Wells. If Windle can get a usable forward that would be a bonus.

About Boutin going to FF, I assume this is all hearsay but why would Meflort move him. He's only 19, has a year left and I would think he is OK with not being at the top of the standings after the last 2 season, meaning I would expect some loyalty to the Mustangs. I would think he is more valuable as a 20 yr old next season than what they might getfor young players. Just my thoughts.

If Blevins is thinking ahead he deals Boutin now with a caveat that FF only gets Boutin for the remainder of this season. His rights revert back to Melfort after the season is over in case he quits in the U.S. This is what happened when Brett Boehm was dealt to Yorkton to win the RBC. Boehm quit in the US at Christmas and returned to FF.

This Boutin thing has to be a rumour. No way he gets traded. At least not until Jan 10 and even than I doubt it. The bombers need to play for a bit now to see what they have and what they need to win it all. One thing is for sure, Sinclair makes that bomber squad an immediate favourite for the Canalta Cup. They might need another dman to round out their top four. Biggest problem facing flin flon right now is too many 20 year olds. Can't keep 10 happy. Can't add an impact player at the trade deadline unless it is a 20 year old. Boutin at 19 would cost a huge price and it's likely that flin flon can't pay it after the Melville trade.

Depends just how bad Flon wants to win..... First year Melfort won they carried ten 20's, last year was 9 I believe. Remember if you go to RBC, you can dress 9 I believe.

Masson has been playing like he shouldn't be a top 8 guy on the Bombers so far this year. Even Etter has been more effective. Top 4 wherever might be a bit of a stretch.

We could probably agree the offense and defense got better with Sinclair, but there is a lot of ground to cover if the Bombers are to be league champs, the goaltending situation has to improve, they need more mental toughness and they need a leader up front in the top 6 forwards, maybe as the year goes by these things will sort themselves out with the existing line up, I am hopeful. Its great to watch the Bombers, when they are on their game...its fun. They occasionally have the "eye of the tiger" goin. I threw Boutin into the mix cause I like him, like I used to like Jeremy Wray from the Bronco's L4D

the shots in game tonight between wings and bombers. wow! The shots I'd say were very accurate. The problem right now is we need that stud forward to get the puck in the net. To many missed chances and a lot of shots from the outside. Pp had good puck possession but 1 for 9 on the pp doesn't cut it.

That new PP setup looks good, once they tinker and execute, it should work well.
But the shots were probably pretty accurate, believe it or not.

Who was on the 1st team power play last night for Flin Flon now that Sinclair is there? I assume Sinclair is on the 1st team PP but who else.
Hey elbows or "someguy" or whatever you call yourself, if you don't like the thread then don't click on it. You might think has nothing to it but I am sure Flin Flon fans and SJHL fans enjoy the casual chatter.

Whats the official word on the Whitney roof? The damage was over the visitors dressing rooms so they said they're not to worried about it. If the play lasts longer than 10 seconds on that corner of the rink it's whistled down and the Bombers are given a penalty shot. Other than that it's good to go.

Been there, The roof over the visitors dressing rooms is the bleachers that hold the butts of the home fans. Is that what was leaking?
