the roof will be coming off in April Ive been told....crowd noise in the playoffs will be blamed...the humanity of it all, back to boutin, I heard he has a Flin Flon connection, he may be quite willing to come...he is the "type" of player needed right now....it would help if he cans score regularly, other wise our pipe line to Alberta seems to have dried up as those AJ kids don't wanna report to the Bombers, Mike may be looking elsewhere right now. The Bombers are one player away from winning all those shootout losses IMO, Sinclair has taken us a long way...but...we need more, like I said before, that player may already be in the line up...just needs to step up. Even in Zimmer could find the back of the net, it would help a lot. L4D

from the AJHL website: "Oct. 30, 2016 The Brooks Bandits trade Tyler Nyman and Tyler Levine to Flin Flon (SJHL) in exchange for future considerations."
I'm not sure what the futures are, but two Tyler's along with Tyler Millar, gives your three Tyler's.... if my math is Monday. Would be hilarious if they all played on the same line, I would like to hear Rafael on the radio with that one

Raphael has enough trouble with that fat tongue as it is. Don't wish a a Tyler trio on him and make it worse.

So L4D , was that the kind of performance you were expecting from Boutin when he showed up in FF? Did he stay behind?

Wow if Mike could acquire a player as talented as Dakota Boutin then there would be no doubt that would be a huge piece puzzle in winning the SJHL.

Acquire away, there's a cost to landing kids like him, nothing posted on Sinclair trade yet but it'll be costly. Flin flon trying to strengthen line up right now, once trade deadline approaches they'll be out of chips to acquire guys!

There's nothing posted on the Sinclair deal because its a futures deal. From what I've heard its a player of there choice next year. Going to hurt but Sinclair is worth it. Also still haven't received a player for Webb. I've heard we've been screwed on that deal because he played one exhibition game and also heard something's in the works. So who knows.

Missed the Melfort game at the Whitney...so nothing to report, but that has not stopped me before on making comments. But I got nothing, Bombers need another guy with character who can score...mix it up a bit, settle the team when it gets tight etc etc. Is that Boutin?? L4D

Giving up Boutin would be huge and I don't think the Mustangs want to sacrifice that much this year for futures. He's scoring lots and got em 2 points last night. Obviously I don't watch them that close but I wonder if Zary and Hinson could do what they do without Boutin. I would be very surprised to see him go anywhere, except maybe on Jan 10, only if the writing is on the wall. I would think the home win last night gave the fans a little to dream about.

Boutin gets at least half his points on the PP. He can score alright, not sure he is the right guy to settle the team when the going gets tough. He had a rough start to the year with major penalties and suspensions but has settled quite a bit lately. Typically has been the undisciplined one that could cost a game IMO. But I guess if you need to take a chance on someone he might be the guy.

He might take the odd bad penalty but can score big goals when you need them. 3 championships isn't all just a fluke. Been a big part of all 3. I personally like a player that plays with an edge and hope we can keep him here in Melfort.

If Melfort wants to hang onto Boutin and the Bombers need a scorer with some edge they should be able to work a deal with LaRonge for Blacquire. He was on the same championship team and was probably more consistent during the long season although he hasn't done much this season. A trade might be something that could possibly get him going again and LaRonge might be in selling mode given their situation.

17 points in his last 10 games since his 0 in his first 5 at the start of the season where he only played 2 of those games to the final buzzer. Probably the biggest game changer In the league and most proficient point player in the league. Heard from a Melfort source Blevins has had 8 teams try and acquire him already this season with a couple teams being out of province. If Flin flon wants a championship team he is the final piece of the puzzle to building that team.

IMO they still need a another piece, as in one more second line d-man. Defense usually wins championships. Melfort proved that the last two seasons. I thought NB had the best defense troop last season but met a hot team in FF, and they probably have one of the top again this season. FF needs to add depth there and they may have it. Boutin might be a logical choice, but not as available as a Blacquire.

boutin would be more logical as he is a 97 whereas blacquiere is a 96. with already 10 20 year olds on the roster, unless they are moving a 20 yr old.

What was your perspective on the game? 3 key players out of the lineup (Lesko, Thomas, Lavallee). 8 different goal scorers. Looks like Estavan is still having discipline problems. The Bombers lost their top line from last year but from what I've seen this year. They are a lot deeper.

I totally agree wit Bomberville that this Bomber Hockey team is a lot deeper than last years team I also have to compliment Mike and his Scouting staff on the Brett Kitt trade which I have to say we stole Greyson Reitmeier from Melville and we also received Mitch Foyle wow that's recognizing future talent.

The series in Battleford is going to be a great test for the Bombers as the Stars are the class of the league and if you want the SJHL Championship your going to have to go through Battleford to win it.This will give Flin Flon a chance before Jan.10th to see what they may need to if anyone to knock them off.Great week for Bomber Hockey

Does it seem weird that Flin Flon plays in Battlefords on Wednesday and Friday and then Kindersley on Saturday? That's an extra day of hotels and meals etc.. Just seems weird they'd have an extra day in between when teams are trying to cut costs.

Is either poor planning or good planning. NB was the top team last year and were ranked number one again this year when schedules were created. Maybe FF gambled that they would be important games and put a buffer inbetween to have a better chance for success in NB...Just stating a possibility.

It is kind of weird to split up the schedule that way but not unprecedented. Last year going into Christmas they played in La Ronge,Kindersley, day off then in Battlefords and back to Kindersley. So there must be something behind the move.

Flin Flon has been doing this for a long time. 4 games in 5 nights. Laronge Tuesday, Battleford Wednesday and Friday and Kindersley Saturday. Always the third day off. The day off doesn't usually land in between the same team though. Since Saskatoon is so close it wouldn't affect the cost. The team usually stays in a bigger centre where they can get team building in.
