At least the Bombers are consistent and pad the shots for both sides. With only a few exceptions, the shot numbers across the league are high. Then there is Nipawin who pads their own goalie's shot totals and seems to miss shots for the other team.

who do you guys think count the number of shots? I have been at games where if the puck makes it across the blue line it counts as a shot . lol I don't think you can acuse any club for padding shots it just happens! Was there not a game a couple of nights ago that there was around 70 shots on . who did the count for that game? Sunday morning rant!!!!!!

I would like to believe that know one is padding shots or misleading the count intentionally, and I am sure some human bias come into play. I think what can be learned if the SJ wants to, is that this is a teaching opportunity to what I assume are volunteers or if not people that are paid a small sum to donate their time to help out. The discussion about shots is as old as the discussion about who the greatest nhl'er ever was, it will always be a personal issue, just like to see more consistent reporting. By the way Orr is the best ever nhl'er

Its like an honorary doctorate. The midget A or ?? back up has been practicing and sitting since what .. Christmas. Its a reward for character. Well it's actually been less than 5 weeks since other goalie went down with injury. If awards are based on character than Luke Lush should be first star every game for sticking it out with the Wolves. Here's a 98 kid that has had to back stop what on a good night was a junior b team in front of him and did it with class and professionalism knowing that his numbers will be taking a beating so badly that it will affect his future. So my MVP is Lush based on character. It all stems from the problems that new coach Vossen inherited, he wasn't even able to bring in a solid back up after Mckay was injured due to mismanagement by his predecessor. Now that this mess is done for the year, I wish him well trying to build something in the future. As for the earlier question about 75 shots, no there wasn't, maybe 65, however the irony is not lost on me that this is under a "bomber" post, the team only second to the Stars for inflating shot numbers. The irony is not lost on you that this under a Bomber post? Who questioned the shots? Not a Bomber...Stars did. Why under a Bomber thread? I have no idea since the game was in LaRonge. Looks to me like LaRonge is padding their goalie stats if you don't think there was 75 shots...or is LaRonge using Flin Flon to count shots in LaRonge? Sorry I don't see 75 shots being out of question with a top team playing a Junior "B" team at best.

Shot counting in this league is a joke! Makes goal stats completely questionable. Should have back up counters in the stands and compare totals to make more consistent and accurate. Otherwise why keep the stats when they don't reflect reality with any accuracy.

Tomorrow nights game at the Whitney is huge. Other than the obvious division title on the line and a slightly easier road to the semi final series, the winner would be the home team in what could quite easily be a head to head match up in the semi finals. Obviously a lot of things can happen that would prevent a Flin Flon vs Nipawin show down in the semis but it is quite likely to happen. With these two teams so evenly matched home ice in a 7 game series would be huge. It will be interesting to see if the chickens rule the roost at the Whitney tomorrow or lay an egg. I would watch but oh ya still no broadcast in the flon and the stangs have a must win game that will draw my attention. Big finale to the season!

I see lavalee and hooper got weekly awards. Congrats. Reitmeir and Sinclair win league awards...I think they deserve those awards as well. I feel we get to start real playoff hockey tomorrow nite against the hawks. It's a meaningful game. The hawks are good. This is great L4D

I can't for the game tomorrow nite do I believe the Bombers win sure I do they have a very good team this year as does Nipawin as does Battleford so the playoffs are going to be great.Kicking a team like the Ice Wolves while there down just isn't right we in Flin Flon know and understand what it's like to try and rebuild your organization and when your changing coaches it takes a lot longer. Hold your heads up Laronge Ice Wolves and look forward to next year.I hate to say this also but since we got back in the SJHL in 1984/85 which team has more Championships Flin Flon or Laronge I will give you a hint it's 2 to 1 for Laronge.Hopefully we can even up after this season.

I just hope the Hawks can make it up here tomorrow. Right now, I wouldn't bet on it. Weather here in Flin Flon is awful with a blizzard expected tonight and tomorrow. Won't surprise me one bit if the game is delayed til Wednesday.

Won't surprise me one bit if the game is delayed til Wednesday. I agree, with the safety of the player a top priority I hope they postpone. Tons of snow in Nipawin, and if Flon has got it as well they will need to push it back. Just lets the intensity brew a little bit more. Been a long time since the Hawks won a division. Hawks 4-2 empty netter.

I'd be awfully surprised if the game is a go tonight...definitely not safe for a bus to hit the road today. Even if the plows clear the roads, the way it's blowing everything is drifting right back in. Players safety first. Schools are even closed. Which is only the second time ever that I can recall happening.

Radio broadcast? Nothing on the air for 102.9 and I cannot find a link for Nips radio. Sounds like Humboldt and Melfort on their main feed.

This will give them some time to shovel out the parking lot and move some snow out of town for the playoff run then. Lol. The delay by one day actually shortened the time off by a day! Notre Dame likely the favourite vs Melfort so could be a long road trip for FF series. IMO FF fans would sooner play the Mustangs to give payback for last seasons loss in the final. Probably draw a bigger crowd also.
